In a time of significant conversation surrounding women and abuse in the wake of the #metoo movement, you are invited to The Bible Women’s Project at North Street Community Chapel (235 North St., Hingham).
The Bible Women’s Project is a play that tells the often unknown stories of women in the Bible through the eyes and experiences of contemporary women. Presented by the Pariah Theatre Company, the BWP was featured at the 2016 New York International Fringe Festival. Based on true experiences and Bible stories, many topics and conversations surround sensitive topics and may not be appropriate for all audiences. For more about the show and to watch some clips, visit the Pariah Theatre Company’s website. We also have an event page.
There is a suggested donation of $20, but please do not let that amount stop you from coming as we want these stories and the situations they represent told widely.
Saturday, March 17 – 7:00 PM & Sunday, March 18 – 3:00 PM
Additionally, our church has invited female preachers to tell these stories more in depth on Sunday mornings during the season of Lent (Feb 18 – March 25, 10:30 AM).
